Our guesthouse operates as a vacation home. The house is located in a highland Csángó village in the Úz Valley, far from the nearest asphalt road, but accessible via a good quality gravel road that can be reached by any type of car. Electricity was introduced to the village a few years ago. From a mainland perspective, the village resembles more of a homestead area than a village. There are no classic streets; houses are built near cart tracks along the streams, and the plots of land are quite large, up to 20 hectares.
The village has not yet been shaped to meet the demands of tourists; people here still live in a self-sustaining manner. Our house was built in 2014 using traditional Csángó technology, with logs, insulated with moss, a thatched roof instead of tiles, and the interior finishes were made from pine trees harvested on the property. Our 18-hectare property features multiple springs, streams, and a beautiful small pond. We also sourced water for the house from a nearby spring.
The house is 150 square meters and fully comfortable. On the ground floor, there is a huge living room, kitchen, dining room, and a bathroom. Upstairs, there are 5 bedrooms. Room distribution: 1 single bed, 2 double beds, and 2 triple beds, comfortably accommodating 11 guests. The kitchen is fully equipped, but we also installed a wood-burning stove. The bathroom has both a corner bathtub and a shower cubicle, with hot water provided by a wood-fired boiler. The house's heating is ensured by a visibly open central tiled stove.
On our 270,000 m² property, we have two identical houses, so it can comfortably accommodate 16-20 guests.

Kati, your neighboring Csángó housewife, is happy to prepare authentic Csángó and Székely delicacies for you. She grows the ingredients herself and delivers them to your doorstep. The milk comes from Vilma the cow, which is used to make cottage cheese, cheese, and curd. The eggs are collected from under the hens by Kati. The sourdough potato bread is baked in the oven. The syrups and jams are made from mountain wild fruits, and the tea is brewed from medicinal herbs, with the flavorful forest mushrooms often gracing the table. If you wish, you can enjoy all of this in Kati's kitchen, which is akin to a complete folklore performance.
