Detailed description:

• Type of hide: Closed, covered hide with huge front windows.
• Capacity: 8 people can observe, 4 people can sleep (one room with a double bed, two hammocks).
• Location: The hide is located near Lake Saint Anne.
• Duration: Typically from 18:00 to 08:00.
• Start time: We confirm the exact time by phone the day before.
• Parking: On the side of the asphalt road, 400 meters from the hide.
• Access: Our guide will take you to the hide by off-road vehicle.
• Recommended clothing: Season-appropriate hiking attire, dark-colored top. Umbrella or raincoat.
  Season: March 15 - December 15.
• Weather: Weatherproof program. (It runs even in the rain because the hide is enclosed and covered.)
• Be punctual: We don't wait! Several people join our tours every day. Those who arrive on time will depart at the agreed-upon time; we cannot wait for anyone.
• Experience guarantee: If you see a bear but didn't enjoy the experience, you don't have to pay.
• Age limit: It may be necessary to sit quietly for more than two hours, which not every child enjoys, so we do not recommend participation for children under 6 years old.
• Also includes: Guided tour (The guide accompanies you to the hide but does not stay there; they will return the next morning).

The price may seem high, but it's worth considering what's included.

So, the 300 euros for such a unique extreme accommodation and bear watching experience in the world is not so much.

You can sleep in an old, authentic building hidden among the treetops and watch bears from bed, where the former Romanian dictator, Ceausescu, used to hunt. We have converted the hide into a four-star level extreme accommodation that also serves as a small museum. Interestingly, there is a scale in front of the hide that was used to weigh the bears that arrived there. Uniquely in the world, you can watch and measure bears from your bed. There is no bathroom or electricity in the hide, only a washbasin and a toilet. Typically, our guests spend only one night here, but those who are content with washing instead of bathing often stay for more nights. Tourists are brought up to the hide two hours before dark and brought down between 8-9 in the morning. There is no opportunity to stay there during the day and walk around the hide area, as we do not want to disturb the bears in the vicinity so that they can visit the beautiful meadow in front of the hide with confidence every evening, and every guest who arrives can admire this wonderful creature of the Carpathians.
