  • Delivered by our neighboring Csángó lady, but you can also enjoy it in her kitchen. Milk she milked in the morning, cheese made from it, curd, eggs taken from under the hen, bread she baked in her oven, jam and syrup made from fruits she picked in the mountains, forest mushrooms, and mountain honey, and tea for which she picked the herbs. (Full board available.)

• Visit to Csík Beer Factory with dinner and unlimited beer consumption
• 2 full-day off-road trips in the mountains (not off-road, but a car ride.)

Detailed itinerary:

• Day 1:
  • Travel
  • Check-in at our mountain forest guesthouse.
  • Recommended program on the way:
    • Transfăgărășan: Bâlea Lake – Bâlea Waterfall – at an altitude of 2080 m. The most beautiful high mountain road accessible by car in the world. In winter, the road is closed due to heavy snow, but you can take a cable car to the mountain ridge.
• Day 2:
  • Full-day off-road trip in the mountains (The exact location and time of departure should be arranged by phone the previous day.)
    • A 100-year time travel. This is not an off-road tour but a car ride on old cart roads. We stop at every beautiful viewpoint. We pick blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries.
  • Visit to Esztena (Eszetena: summer accommodation for sheep and shepherds in the mountains.)
  • Cheese tasting
    • Sheep cheese, curd, orda, and zsendice, homemade bacon, and homemade bread will be served.
  • Visit to a forest chapel
  • Village visit
    • Csinód – a tiny mountain village in the Úz Valley where people still lead a self-sustaining life.
  • Lunch with a local Csángó family
    • We sit down in the family's kitchen – the hostess serves a 3-course lunch with coffee and brandy (unlimited servings).
• Day 3:
  • Full-day off-road trip in the mountains (The exact location and time of departure should be arranged by phone the previous day.)
  • Village visit to a village where there is no asphalt road or electricity to this day.
  • Visit to a mountain trout farm with lunch
• Day 4:
  • Local natural attractions by your own vehicle:
    • Saint Anne Lake, Mohos Peat Bog, Torja Stinking Cave, Apor Girls' Bath...
  • Leave your car in the guarded parking lot at Saint Anne Lake and walk about 1 km on a forest road to the lake – they sell the best chimney cake in Transylvania here – don't miss it! In the summer, you can also go boating and take a boat ride on the lake.
    • Plan about 2.5 – 3 hours for the lake.
    • Saint Anne Lake is located HERE.
  • Depending on the season, there are guided tours in the Mohos Peat Bog every hour or every two hours – an interesting program for both children and adults.
    • You can find it opposite the parking lot of Saint Anne Lake.
    • The program lasts for 1 hour.
  • The Torja Stinking Cave is Europe's largest high-yield mofetta – you can walk up on a beautifully marked tourist path. The round trip is about 1.5 hours at a comfortable pace.
    • The road to Torja Stinking Cave starts from the Gastrolab restaurant.
  • Apor Girls' Bath – located between the Grand Hotel and Bálványosfürdő. Numerous springs with various medicinal properties emerge here, a true rarity in the world.
  • Recommendation:
    • Lunch at the Gastrolab restaurant – you can find it near the parking lot for the Stinking Cave trail – the restaurant is part of the Grand Hotel Bálványos. The restaurant is located HERE.
    • Lunch at the Vár Panzió in Bálványosfürdő – they prepare traditional Székely dishes – a tavern atmosphere awaits you. The restaurant is located HERE.
  • Bear watching: 17:30 – 19:30 (the time should be arranged the previous day!)

• Day 5:
